Sydney Brass was for formed in late 1958 by Cliff Goodchild (former Principal Tuba of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra) with four of his colleagues from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Since this time we have grown to include many fine musicians; including others from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and many graduates from Sydney's Conservatorium of Music.

In the year 2008 we will be celebrating 50 years of brass music performance.
